Symposium on Phage Therapy, Health, Agroindustry and Innovation

On December 10, 2025, the city of Figueira da Foz will be the epicenter of scientific and technological discussion on phage therapy, hosting PhageCentro 2025. The event will take place from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and will bring together experts for a day of knowledge sharing, networking, and promoting partnerships between science and industry.

Phage therapy has been establishing itself as a promising alternative to conventional antibiotics, with applications ranging from medicine to sustainable food production. PhageCentro 2025 aims to explore this potential on multiple fronts, promoting innovation and scientific translation.

This symposium promotes an integrated approach between research, clinical application, agro-industry, and environmental sustainability.

“INOVC+ is a strategic program for the Central Region that consists of the implementation and consolidation of an Innovation Ecosystem for the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology which, in a network of 23 partners, enhances the valorization and transfer of knowledge and R&D+I results to the regional economy, being a continuation of the previous InovC, InovC 2020 and InovC+ programs. The project has a duration of 30 months and a total eligible investment of approximately 4.1 million euros, co-financed at 85% by CENTRO 2030, Portugal 2030 and the European Union, The European Funds Closer to You.”
